Happy Thanksgiving.....and Some Other Stuff

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday. We had a wonderful time up at Danny's parents' new home in Riverton, Utah. I had fun baking a couple of pies, and helping with some of the other preparations. There's lots of pictures in this post! So, I hope you're all happy (ahem, Mom). These first pictures are just some cute ones of Sophie, and then there are Thanksgiving pictures. Have a great week everyone!

Sophie the Shepherdess. We had just gotten home so she still had her sweater on, and she happened to pick up Danny's back scratcher. I guess she's practicing for Great Grandma Ford's Christmas play!

If you look closely at this picture you can see two things: 1. Sophie's first piggytail, and 2. both of her little (and very, very sharp) teeth.

Get out of my room Mommy! She's already shutting the door on me, is that normal? Actually, she shuts the door and then starts crying because she doesn't know where I went.

Sophie likes to dip her teething cookies in formula -- cookies and milk!
P.S. I always thought I'd never have "the messy kid". But, now I realize that ALL kids are messy kids no matter what you do.

First major bonk on the head. The offending table leg is also pictured.

We got Sophie a BYU outfit so she could be a loyal fan during our big rivalry game against the University of Utah. She didn't pay very good attention to the game, obviously. And, we lost in overtime if you can believe that!

Sophie trick: climbing stairs at Grandma and Grandpa Karpowitz' house! Boy am I glad we don't have stairs in our house!

Some nasty bedhead!

And now, some Thanksgiving pictures!

Sophie's first Thanksgiving and she seems to be enjoying it!

Inspecting her ground up food....hhhmmm.....

This was my cherry pie. I also made a mincemeat pie, but I didn't take a picture of it in time. I barely got this one in time!

Keri carving the turkey, which she also helped prepare with a delicious apple glaze recipe she discovered.

View of the Thanksgiving crew. There were about 25 of us all gathered for the holiday. I'm not exactly sure how many people were there.

Here we are at our table with Keri, Bryant, Jamie, and some Karpowitz cousins: Scott and Brad.

Sophie had a good time playing with Danny's cousin Rachel's son, Travis, and Travis' aunt Ashley.

Sweet! I think Sophies' expression on the first major bump picture is perfect. The cherry pie looks delicious! You look wonderful there with Sophie. I like that little highchair thing you have. Good ideas keep coming don't they? Well, more packing to do, love and thanks, Mom
