Most recent stats on the kids! Sophie's 3 year checkup and Jonas' 2 month checkup were close together. I love my pediatrician. She said both kids are doing great. She said she "would eat her hat" if Sophie had ADHD, so that was good to hear because sometimes............wow. She did say Sophie may fall into the category of "spirited", so I've been reading a book about that. I was really enjoying it, and was halfway through the thing. I went to renew it at the library -- when what do you know?!...someone placed a hold on it and stole it from me!!!!! As the parent of said "spiritied" child, I need to finish that book and learn how to stay mentally sane here! So, I put a hold right back on that book. We'll see if that parent can read an entire book in 2 weeks with their spirited child running in circles, eating playdough, and flushing their panties down the toilet. Yep, we'll see.
Jonas at 2 months (this picture -- in "church clothes" for the first time -- SO CUTE!!!!)
- 24.75 inches (77th percentile)
- 11 lbs. 12 oz. (47th percentile)
Sophia at 3 years (Sophie adds her special flair to everything, even climbing a rock!)
- 37.5 inches (54th percentile)
- 31.5 lbs. (55th percentile)
The other day when I opened up the jogger, this is what I found. Jonas is already looking out for his big sister, being that "shoulder to lean on", you know. Blow up this picture for the full effect of Jonas' face, it's good.

Sophie's new song is extra disturbing but also insanely funny considering she loves to microwave Chuck:) ! And could the pictures you posted be any cuter...I think that is pretty much impossible.
Spirited, strong-willed, intense and passionate personality traits can surely be hard for moms to deal with in a cool way (especially when there is more than one baby at home). Attention becomes divided, consumed and even depleted. If we shape with acceptance and celebration, a child can use these qualities as strengths that will drive life and attract others. If mom thinks "something's wrong", the child will never fit in this beautifully scary world, and suffer a low esteem of self. I have absolute empathy and write in the spirit of friendship. My Isaac has SPD and gives us all a whopper of a time. He is brilliant and intense, and I learn so much from his acute awareness and many, many challenges.
I feel ya, sista! Motherhood stretches us moms to grow in ways no other STEWARDSHIP can .
the look on jonas' face is just like danny's extra concerned/worried look! and how did sophie grow up so fast?! i can't believe i have less than a month until i'm up in seattle with all of you again. don't forget you and danny are required to go have danny and abby time together so i can have jamie sophie and jonas time!
