A Boring Post

Warning: This post will be very boring because there are no pictures. Due to camera issues, we have no new pictures at this time. However, just a few hours ago, we recieved a new battery charger in the mail. So hopefully things will be up and running soon. Here's an update of what we're doing, sans pictures:

Danny: Lots of school, work, and helping Sophie and me as much as possible. School is in full-swing and the classes are demanding, being graduate courses. Danny and his graduate advisor, Dr. Cox have come up with a topic for his master's thesis. So, now he can get started on a prospectus. Danny has two jobs, one in Dr. Cox's "Advanced Product Development" lab, and another doing grading for Prof. Solovjov (a visiting professor from Siberia) just a couple hours a week. Although he suffers from severe "graduate-level senioritis", Danny is doing very well in his classes.

Abby: Lots of taking care of Sophie! I've been making homemade baby foods for Sophie, which is fun for some reason! So far, she will eat anything I give her but I think she likes sweet potatoes the best. On Fridays we go to the Provo Library for "Book Babies", where we sing songs, blow bubbles, read a book, and watch puppets. I'm also looking for some work I can do a couple hours a day for some extra money, and to keep my mind sharp. I've applied for an editing job, which I hope to hear back from early next week. Keri and Jamie are also looking into some possible editing positions through some of their connections in the religion department at BYU. Hopefully something will come through. An editing position would be ideal since I like editing and I can do it from home. But, I might look into some "mother's helper" positions I've seen in the paper if the editing jobs don't pan out.

Sophie: Growing, learning, having fun, and keeping Mom and Dad on their toes! At her 6 month checkup, the doctor told me she is in the seventy-fifth percentile for both height and weight. He also said that if she keeps up this growth rate, she will end up being 5'9" as an adult! Wouldn't that be funny? But, he also said she may level out in the next month or so, as many babies who start out big seem to level out around 6 months. Also, Sophie is crawling! It isn't pretty or very effective, but it is crawling. And I think she's cutting her first tooth. Yesterday I was positive there was a tooth there, but today I'm not so sure! Time will tell....

So, that's basically it! Pictures should be coming soon...
