Assorted Pictures, and What You've All Been Waiting For -- Sophie Tricks!!!

Danny and Sophie at the lake at my parent's house. We went to visit them for a week and a half in mid August.

My friend Jan, her husband Ryan, and their daughter Bailey (who just turned 1!). They just moved to Spokane because Ryan is starting law school at Gonzaga. So, we had them come out to my parent's house one night for a visit. I think they were really impressed with how far out in the sticks my parent's house really is! It was great to see you guys!

Sophie and Bailey playing -- they were so cute together.

While up in Washington, we took a trip over to Seattle to see Coldplay in concert (I'll get some pictures of that another time). We got together with my friend Charis and her husband Andy for dinner down on the waterfront. It was a lot of fun to hang out, and so great to see you guys too!

Being "amateurs" ourselves, we just couldn't resist this picture opportunity -- say what you will....
(My mom was nice enough to come along and watch Sophie while we went to the concert. Thanks again Mom!)

We took a quick trip through the good ol' Pike Place Market and enjoyed the Dahlias, nut samples, and cranberry oat squares.

Back in Spokane...We went to the skate park to watch my brother Garrett do some tricks for us. I was very impressed! This picture does nothing to capture the excitement and talent, sorry!

Mom, Dad, Maggie, Sophie, and I went to a wooden boat show in Coeur D'Alene down on the boardwalk. And, we caught lunch at the beautiful Coeur D'Alene Resort. It was a really fun outing.

My mom couldn't resist buying this pink, fluffy dress for Sophie. Is this a pretty baby or what?

The four generations picture! Grandmama, Dad, Me, and Sophie. Being able to introdue Sophie to Grandmama was a highlight of our trip to Spokane. Grandmama was also nice enough to let us stay in her home while we visited. Thanks Grandmama, we love you!

Back in Utah, we went to Danny's Uncle Dave's wedding. This is a picture of: Dave's new wife Gwen, Dave, and Danny's Grandma Ford (his maternal grandmother). The wedding was beautiful, and we were so happy to share in that special day.

And now......SOPHIE TRICKS!!!!!

I know, it's been a while since I posted Sophie tricks. I have two excuses: 1) We've been having various camera technical issues so I haven't been taking many pictures at all. And 2) She is growing, changing, and developing so quickly, it's hard to capture it all! So, here are two of the BIG ones:

Standing while holding onto things, and sitting all by herself. Isn't she advanced?

I am currently without Internet at our new apartment for a little while. So, hopefully we'll get set up soon, but if not, I apologize for the delay in posting and emailing!
